Outstanding dSLR Camera From Nikon

Yes, Nikon has done it again and it seems that as of late this camera manufacturer can do no wrong in the world of DSLRs. This masterpiece, which takes the place of the outdated D80, is everything you need in a camera for taking amazing pictures. Compared to the D300, this lighter camera has many of the same features and even some improvements.

This camera, as Nikon’s smartest DSLR, is competitive with the D3 and D300 , for a far lower price. Of course there is always a lot of fluff added to a new prosumer camera in order to catch the eye of those who are not in the know, but there is also a lot of very useful groundbreaking improvements in the Nikon D90 that just are not offered in the D80, or D300 for that matter.

If you are in the $1000 dollar range for a camera, this is your best choice. With it you will get much of what establishes the $5,000 D3 as extraordinary, and at a portion of the cost. The first thing you will notice is the scaldingly bright and stunning 3-inch LCD. The colors are vibrant and correct.

Another excellent benefit is that it does not drain the EN-EL3e battery rapidly. Move over D3 the camera is rated at 850 shots with a mix of flash. The D3, D300 and D700 are rivaled in photographic caliber by the image sensor DX. Being DX, the image sensor rivals the photo quality of the D3, D300 and D700. In regular shooting amidst decent light, you will not notice a difference. Even for all you people who like to blow up a photo to 300% and scour for imperfections will be pleasantly surprised. In low light higher ISO the D300 will improve slightly, and the D3 will improve quite a bit more. But, you don’t have to spend $4000 or more.

The Nikon D90 is something live view appears on too. The photo enthusiast will probably not use this a whole lot. But it is quite handy when handing the camera to someone else in order to get in a few amazing photos yourself. We have point and shoots to thank for become dependant on LCDs to take photos. If you already own a DSLR you will no doubt notice that folks are intimidated to even hold a DSLR let alone shoot one. Live view is very helpful here, as it makes it more comfortable for those used to holding their cameras out at arms’ length. D90’s plastic body and low weight help to lessen the intimidation factor. With a lighter weight and plastic parts, the D90 is less intimidating.
